…scroll down if you have a father or husband who attends Safeharbor…
Seriously, dads. stop scrolling.
We think that the fathers who attend Safeharbor are pretty great dads! None of them are perfect, but all of them have made a choice to humbly participate in a church community as followers of Jesus, and we think that makes them pretty good role-models. The Dads at Safeharbor “knock our socks off.”
We’re still social distancing, and not all of our families have returned to our Sunday morning gathering, so we’re recruiting your help to coordinate a special Top Secret Father’s Day Mission this year.

Here’s what to do:
  1. Buy your dad a pair of fun, funky, wild socks. You should be able to find fun socks for anywhere from $1 to $20. We’ve seen great designs at Dollar Tree, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target, Dillards, Amazon, and JCPenny. Crazy socks are easy to find these days.
  2. Make or print a tag that says “You Knock Our Socks Off, Dad.” You can find a pdf to print here, or make your own crafty design.
  3. Take a picture of the socks with your tag and send it to by 3:00pm, Friday, June18th. We will share your photos during our worship service on Father’s Day, when we’ll celebrate all the Dads who “knock our socks off” at Safeharbor.
  4. On Father’s Day, give the socks to your dad or husband/significant other. Whether they join us online or in-person, insist that they wear the socks for church on Sunday. Take a picture of him wearing the socks and post it to social media with the hashtag #socksofsafeharbor (socks of Safeharbor).
  5. Be sure to join us in-person or online Sunday, June 21st for a celebration of our Dads…and their socks.
