Our Beliefs:

At the heart of our faith is a simple truth: God loves you. He created you, knows you, and desires a relationship with you. That relationship is made possible through Jesus Christ.
These are the core beliefs that guide who we are and how we seek to follow Jesus:
We believe there is one God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things and is perfectly loving, holy, just, and faithful. He is actively at work in the world and invites every person to know Him personally.
We believe Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He lived a sinless life, taught God's truth, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rose from the dead. Because Jesus is alive, everyone who places their faith in Him can experience forgiveness, new life, and the hope of eternal life.
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every follower of Jesus. He helps us grow in our faith, understand God's Word, become more like Christ, and serve others with love and purpose.
We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and our trustworthy guide for faith and life. Through Scripture, we learn who God is, what He has done for us, and how we are called to live.
We believe every person is created in God's image and has immeasurable worth. We also believe that all people have sinned, and sin separates us from God. We cannot overcome that separation on our own, which is why we all need God's grace.
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace that is received through faith in Jesus Christ. We respond to that gift by turning from sin, trusting in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord, and being baptized by immersion. In baptism, God unites us with Christ, forgives our sins, and gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Salvation is not something we earn. It is God's gift, received through faith and expressed in faithful obedience.
We believe the Church is the family of God, made up of everyone who follows Jesus. Together we worship, learn from God's Word, encourage one another, serve our community, celebrate the Lord's Supper each week, and share the good news of Jesus with others.
We believe following Jesus changes the way we live. While no one is perfect, God continually transforms us through His Spirit. We seek to love God, love our neighbors, serve others with humility, extend forgiveness, pursue holiness, and reflect the character of Christ in our everyday lives.
We believe Jesus will return one day to make all things new. We look forward to the resurrection, the fulfillment of God's kingdom, and eternal life with Him. This hope gives us confidence, purpose, and joy today.
We are a movement committed to following the teachings of the New Testament. Our desire is to be Christians only, with Jesus as our only Savior and Lord, the Bible as our authority, and love as the defining mark of our lives. Whether you have followed Jesus for many years, are just beginning to explore faith, or have questions about God, you are welcome here. We would love the opportunity to walk alongside you as you discover the life and hope found in Jesus Christ.

The best way to really know and understand what we believe at Safeharbor is being involved in one of our local community groups. Love cannot exist outside of action - which at Safeharbor is best shown through our groups.
We'd love for you to join a group in your community, and begin connecting with others with the same heart and mission.
